Jimi Hendrix – Silk Scarf Owned By Hendrix With Full Provenance
A black silk scarf with blue, red and silver bands and gold detailing, owned by Jimi Hendrix. We purchased this at the June 21, 2001 "Jimi Hendrix Experience" auction at Bonhams & Brooks in London. It was consigned by Kathy Etchingham, Hendrix's longtime girlfriend (and the only woman Hendrix lived with during the Experience era.) This scarf was used by Hendrix and Etchingham to drape over a table light in their Brook Street flat, according to the auction catalog (a copy of the relevant page is included with the scarf.) Over the years, a number of scarfs claimed to have come from Hendrix have surfaced, many (too many, in our opinion) with dubious provenance. This one comes directly from Etchingham, who's intimate relationship with Hendrix is documented in literally every book written about him. Measures approximately 20" x 100;" in overall very good condition with some wear. As with everything we offer, guaranteed authentic without time limit.
