Jimi Hendrix – Sly Stone – Emerson Lake & Palmer – Etc – Isle Of Fehrman Poster From Hendrix’s Last Concert

A scarce poster advertising Jimi Hendrix’s final concert performance, at the Open Air Love Peace Festival at the Isle of Fehrman, off the coast of Germany. This three day festival saw Hendrix play his last-ever concert on September 6, 1970, just twelve days before his tragic death in London. The 3 day festival also included performances from Emerson Lake & Palmer, Sly & The Family Stone, Taste (with Rory Gallagher,) Rod Stewart & The Faces, Peter Green, Ten Years After, Procol Harum, the Incredible String Band and more; all of whom are mentioned in the artwork. There were multiple variations of this poster; this is the scarce brown one, measuring 11.25″ x 32″. We loaned this poster to Los Angeles’ Grammy Museum, who exhibited it as part of their “Strange Cosmic Experience” exhibit, which focused on the careers of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and The Doors; it was also exhibited at the Woodstock Museum as part of this show. In VG(+) condition; with 3 repaired tears and some minor chipping to the left edge and a light brown stain to the left of the festival name at top (it looks darker in the photo than in person.) With a copy of the Grammy Museum’s letter of thanks, noting where and when this was exhibited.
