An invitation to John Cale’s 50th birthday surprise party, sent to his Velvet Underground band mate Sterling Morrison.

The invitation, with a picture of Cale as a child, reads ‘Rise Cale invites you to a Surprise Party celebrating John’s First Half Century.’  This was part of Morrison’s legendary Velvet Underground collection; we obtained this from his widow Martha Morrison.
