John Coltrane – 2 Handwritten Musical Manuscripts
Two John Coltrane handwritten musical manuscripts, each of a score titled "Egyptian Nights;" sold at the legendary Guernsey's Jazz Auction of 2005. Written in the late 50's/early 60's by Coltrane on two sheets of 12 1/2" x 9 1/2" musical folio paper. These scores were sold by Coltrane's family in this one-of-a-kind auction, and each has the copyright stamp of Coltrane's music publishing company, Jowcol Music on the reverse side. This auction featured the first Coltrane manuscripts ever sold on the public markets–and probably the last. Musical manuscripts written by jazz giant Coltrane are extremely rare indeed. Also included is an 8" x 10" color photograph of Coltrane, suitable for framing with the manuscript. As with everything we offer, guaranteed authentic with no time limit.
