John Coltrane Quintet – Dizzy Gillespie Quintet – Fully Signed 1961 Tour Program

An superb program for the November, 1961 British "Jazz At The Philharmonic" tour, signed in full by the John Coltrane Quintet (including Eric Dolphy) and the Dizzy Gillespie Quintet. Authentic John Coltrane autographs are extremely rare, while Eric Dolphy signatures are virtually impossible to find, as he died prematurely in 1964, at the age of 36. The center spread of this program is signed by Coltrane, Dolphy, McCoy Tyner, Reggie Workman and Elvin Jones; as well as Gillespie and his band, Leo Wright (who has signed twice), Lalo Schiffrin, Bob Cunningham and Mel Lewis. All of the signatures are beautiful and bold, in ballpoint, completely unfaded. Coltrane was in his prime in '61, recording the albums Ole, Impressions, Live at the Village Vanguard, and Africa/Brass (with the band who played here.) This is one of the very few authentic Coltrane autographs we've ever seen, and the only Dolphy one. A very rare opportunity to obtain a program signed beautifully by two of the true giants of modern jazz, and the legendary musicians who played with them. Guaranteed authentic with no time limit.
