Joni Mitchell – Signed Self-Portrait Lithograph, #9/50, With Embossed Portfolio (Never sold, given by Joni to friends)

A beautiful signed Joni Mitchell limited-edition lithographic self-portrait, picturing Joni bundled up in a snowy scene, with smaller images of her then-husband, musician/producer Larry Klein, and a car and truck.

This print is from a private portfolio of lithographs Mitchell made and gifted to friends near the release of her 1982 album Wild Things Run Fast . Some of the images in the portfolio appear on the cover of that album, though not this one.  50 portfolios were created by Mitchell, with each lithograph signed and numbered by her.  None of the prints were ever made available commercially.

This example is signed and numbered 9/50 by Mitchell.  It has never been framed or displayed, and is in virtually mint condition, fresh and unfaded.  Also included is the thick fabric covered portfolio, with Mitchell’s name silk screened on the front.

Lithograph: Sheet: 17” x 24″. Image 10” x 20”.  Portfolio: 25 1/2″ x 20 1/2″.  Portfolio in Very Good condition with light wear/handling.
