A 1980 Canadian first pressing of Joy Division’s album Closer, from the archive of the late Joy Division/New Order manager, Rob Gretton (1953-1999).

The album is housed in a clear outer sleeve with a label written by the Rob Gretton Collection archivist, reading:

Joy Division. Closer.  Canadian issue on Factory Records, distributed through Polygram FACD 01, standard issue Canadian issue in card sleeve with thin paper inner sleeve, still in shrink but opened, 1980.

This was part of Gretton’s personal collection, and we obtained it directly from Gretton’s partner, Lesley Gilbert.  Our accompanying letter of authenticity will note this extraordinary provenance.
