Joy Division – 1981 UK “Still” Test Pressings (2 LPs) From Manager Rob Gretton’s Archive

From the archive of the late Joy Division/New Order manager Rob Gretton, a rare 1981 UK white label test pressing of Joy Division’s double album Still. Both discs are in Mint to Near Mint condition, with the catalog number and side letters (A/B/C/D) written on the labels in an unknown hand.  The original innersleeves have the catalog number, “JD” and “Still” written similarly.

This was part of Gretton’s personal collection, and we obtained it directly from Gretton’s partner, Lesley Gilbert.  Our accompanying letter of authenticity will note this extraordinary provenance.

Matrix numbers are: FACT 40 A2 GG, Townhouse, The Chicken Won’t Stop ****/FACT 40 B2 GG Townhouse (3 pairs of ‘chicken tracks’)/FACT 40 C2 GG, Townhouse (2 pairs of ‘chicken tracks’)/FACT 40 D2 GG Townhouse, The chicken stops here.
