Joy Division – ‘Zoo Meets Factory Half Way’ Concert Poster (FAC 15) From Rob Gretton Archive

From the collection of longtime Joy Division/New Order manager Rob Gretton (1953-1999), an extremely rare large UK concert poster advertising the August 27, 1979 Zoo Meets Factory Half-Way festival in Leigh, England promoting bands on both Manchester’s Factory Records and Liverpool’s Zoo Records.  The festival got it’s name, because Leigh was half way between Manchester and Liverpool.  Those performing including Joy Division, OMD, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Teardrop Explodes, and A Certain Ratio, and others.

This festival was given the Factory catalog number FAC 15, which is printed at the bottom of the poster. Designed by Tony Wilson after Peter Saville, reportedly 300 of these posters were printed.

We acquired this directly from the archive of the late Joy Division/New Order manager Rob Gretton, and it comes with a letter of authenticity signed by his partner, Lesley Gilbert, noting it was part of the Rob Gretton Archive.

27 7/8” x 38 ¼”, near mint condition.
