Led Zeppelin – Full Band Autographs From “In Through the Out Door” Rehearsals, with 2 COA’s

A full set of Led Zeppelin autographs, obtained by a fan during the band’s rehearsals for their eighth and final studio album, In Through the Out Door.  John Bonham and Robert Plant have signed their names, while John Paul Jones signs with “Best Wishes” and Jimmy Page signs adding “Kenny All The Best”.

As described by the accompanying letter of provenance from the original recipient, “Met the group Led Zeppelin at what was Ezy Hire studios in Holloway [London] back in 1978.  Was told by a friend that he thought they were there so myself and another friend went along the next day and met them just as they were leaving.  John Bonham was quite drunk but managed to sign and Jimmy Page threw loads of empty beer cans in the back of a Rolls Royce and then signed.”  Also included is a small scrap of paper with details of the signing, dating it as September 19, 1978.

In September of 1978 Led Zeppelin began six weeks of rehearsals before relocating to Stockholm to record In Through the Out Door during November and December.  The album was released in August, 1979. Full sets of Led Zeppelin autographs, with John Bonham, are very rare and highly sought after.  This is a clean, bold set with great provenance.

With a letter of authenticity and guarantee from specialist UK dealers Tracks, Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity, the original recipient’s letter of provenance (which confuses the date of the band’s Knebworth show), and their smaller scrap dating the autographs.
