Louis Armstrong – 1947 Signed V-Disc 78RPM Disc, Also Signed By Jack Teagarden
A rare 1947 V-Disc, autographed on the A-side by Louis Armstrong, and on the other by Jack Teagarden. The A-Side features Louis Armstrong interviewed by Art Ford, and the B-Side a live version of “Ain’t Misbehavin'” featuring Armstrong backed by Teagarden, Big Sid Catlett and others.
V-Discs (V for Victory) were a morale-boosting series of records made during the World War II era by special arrangement between the US government and various U.S. record companies, for the use of US military personnel overseas.
This 78 RPM disc, No. 784 in the series, is in VG+ condition; the autographs are clear and bold, in fountain pen. With Recordmecca’s lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
