Maurice White (of Earth, Wind and Fire) – Owned & Worn Gold Charm Necklace
A gold vermeil charm and necklace owned and worn by Earth, Wind & Fire founder and leader Maurice White. The legendary vocalist and multi-instrumentalist founded Earth, Wind & Fire in Chicago in 1970; the band sold 90 million albums, and won seven Grammy Awards.
As explained in the accompanying letter of authenticity, this was obtained by Recordmecca directly from a longtime entertainment business manager who bought White’s home from his estate. The letter reads:
This letter is to authenticate a Jendayi Collection Gye Nyame gold vermeil charm necklace owned and worn by Maurice White of Earth, Wind and Fire. According to the Jendayi website, Gye Nyame signifies “The omnipotence of God omniscience and omnipresence. The divine creation is from a fond past; no one knows its beginning or end Except God”.
In 2017 I purchased Maurice White’s longtime residence on Baywood Court in the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles from his estate. White’s home recording studio and its contents were included in the purchase, and this necklace was found in the studio. (Signed XXX; we have removed his name from the scan to protect his privacy, but it appears twice on the actual letter).
The gold vermeil charm measures 1/2″ by 1″, and is stamped “Jendayi” and “925” on one side, indicating it is made of sterling silver coated in gold. The charm is on a 19″ leather necklace with sterling silver fasteners at either end, also stamped “925”.
With the letter of authenticity from the manager who bought White’s home, and Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
