A beautiful 1960 first press of Miles David’s landmark album Kind of Blue, on Fontana Records.

The Mint/Near Mint disc, as with all UK first pressings, has ‘Made in Holland’ on the label perimeter print; the textured labels show some spindle marks, but the playing surface is virtually immaculate.  It plays beautifully, and sounds great!

The front-laminated flipback cover is ‘Printed and made in Great Britain’ and grades Near Mint–, with a tiny nick near the left edge at the midpoint, and a 1/3″ split to the bottom spine at the mouth.  Oddly, the liner notes are by Benny Green, instead of those of Bill Evans on the US issue.

A very clean first pressing for a fraction of a similar US issue.
