Monterey Pop Festival – Unused Concert Ticket
An unused ticket for the first night of the Monterey International Pop Festival, arguably the most important rock concert of all time. This ticket admitted the bearer to the first of 5 concerts making up the festival, featuring Simon & Garfunkel, Eric Burdon & The Animals, The Association, Johnny Rivers, The Paupers, Lou Rawls and Beverly (Martin.) In mint condition, this ticket came from the collection of legendary music critic Ralph J. Gleason. Gleason along with Bill Graham was very involved with the Festival, and they are credited with convincing the San Francisco bands to participate. In mint condition. Very rare.
