Otis Redding – Signed AFTRA union application

An Otis Redding signed and handwritten American Federation of Television and Radio Artists union application, with his address and phone number. The greatest soul singer ever, Redding died in a plane crash in 1967, making his autograph extremely scarce (and often forged.) This superb example is dated May 18, 1965 and the occasion for his joining the union was his appearances on the 9th Street West and Lloyd Thaxton television programs. Along with the receipt for union dues. Application 6" x 8.75," receipt 3" x 6.25." Near mint condition.
