Pink Floyd & Soft Machine – Original 1967 UFO Club Concert Poster, Pre-Hapshash
A rare original example of the often bootlegged poster advertising three shows at London’s legendary UFO Club in February and March 1967, featuring Pink Floyd, Soft Machine and Brothers Grimm. The second Pink Floyd show, on March 10, took place the day the band’s debut single “Arnold Layne”was released.
This psychedelic classic by artist Michael English is silkscreened in fluorescent inks on uncoated white stock, measuring an impressive 40″ x 30”. This poster predates English’s work as half of Hapshash & The Coloured Coat, in the collectible Osiris series. We contributed to Brad Rogers’ excellent website, detailing the Osiris poster bootlegs comprehensively, and guarantee this to be an original first printing (more at http://www.whocollection.com/hapshash_&_osiris_posters.htm) In VG++ condition, unfaded and bold, with minor handling and minor edge tears. Impressive, historic and rare.
