Prince’s ‘Talent’ laminate backstage pass for the 2004 Grammy Awards ceremony, from the collection of Prince’s former publicist.

The 46th Annual Grammy Awards took place on February 8, 2004 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  The show opened with Prince and Beyoncé performing a medley of ‘Purple Rain/Baby I’m a Star/Let’s Go Crazy/Crazy in Love.’  Prince was nominated that night for Best Pop Instrumental Album for his album N.E.W.S., but didn’t win.

This laminated pass is numbered No. 0912, and has its original neck chain.  As with Grammy Talent passes, it has Prince’s name on a label at the bottom.  We acquired this from the estate of Prince’s publicist at the time.

Recordmecca’s Jeff Gold is a former Executive Vice President/General Manager of Warner Bros. Records who worked closely with Prince.  With our written lifetime guarantee of authenticity, signed by Jeff Gold.
