Prince – Unreleased “Come” CD-R ‘Acetate’ With Alternate Tracks
An extremely rare CD-R reference disc of Prince’s 1994 album Come with four unreleased tracks, from the collection of Recordmecca’s Jeff Gold, a former executive vice president of Warner Bros. Records who worked closely with Prince and art directed a number of his album covers.
Princevault.com notes that Prince assembled and then discarded four different configurations of the Come album before settling on the final track listing. This is the fourth version, which includes four tracks that didn’t make the final lineup–“Poem,” “Interactive,” “Endorphine Machine” and “Strays of the World.”
This Warner Bros/Paisley Park in-house CD-R is dated 3/19/94; Come was finally released on August 15, 1994. In near mint condition, with Jeff Gold’s letter of authenticity and Recordmecca’s lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
