We’re proud to offer here Prince’s original handwritten lyrics for the chorus of the song ‘Mr. Goodnight’, from his 2007 album Planet Earth.  Prince wrote out the chorus of this song for a background singer, during his 2007 run of 3121 shows at the Rio in Las Vegas.

The lyrics, written on a 6 x 9 page read:

“Call Mr. Goodnight / He’ll make u feel alright / Make u throw ur head back & / holla it’s so nice it’s so nice / Betta not tell ur girlfriend / U can try with all ur might / Just can’t keep a secret / about Goodnight, goodnight.”

In the upper right corner, Prince added: “Coka Cola, that’s right, 3121.”

These lyrics have been authenticated by internationally renown music autograph expert Roger Epperson, who’s letter of authenticity is included.  Recordmecca owner Jeff Gold is a former executive vice president/general manager of Warner Bros.
