Prince – Prototype Hologram From Diamonds & Pearls Album

The original glass plate prototype hologram that Prince approved for the cover of his "Diamonds and Pearls" album. This one-of-a-kind prototype was made for the approval of Prince before manufacturing the millions of holograms that would be used for this album cover. Measuring 8.75" square and made of glass and foil, this has the original order tag, dated 7/1/91 on the reverse. I was the art director for this album, and showed this to Prince for his approval at Larabee Studios in Hollywood, where he was recording. I will write a letter detailing the history of this unique artifact for the buyer. (As this is a difficult item to photograph, the quality of the pictures leaves something to be desired.)
