Queen – Brian May & John Deacon Signed Studio Bills

Two original 1977 recording studio “Session Logs” signed by Brian May and John Deacon of Queen for recording sessions for the band’s NEWS OF THE WORLD album. For each recording session, Wessex Sound Studios prepared one of these log sheets, listing the band name, the times the band was in the studio, the client (Queen Productions), the Tape Operator (Dave) and the engineer (Mike Stone). They detailed what was done at the session, and were signed by someone on behalf of the studio, and someone on behalf of the band. The first receipt, dated August 9 (1977) is for “24 track recording”, autographed in the lower right corner “B.H. May” and the initials “J.R.H” on behalf of the studio. The second is dated 2 September 1977, and specifies the session was for “24 Track Mixing.” It is signed in the bottom right corner, “J.R. Deacon” and with the initials “D.B.” (perhaps Dave, the tape operator.) Also noted is a charge for 18 pounds 40 for a telephone call to the USA. These are both original autographed documents, and there is a barely legible carbon copy stapled to each. These museum quality artifacts date from the recording of one of Queen’s biggest albums–which featured “We Will Rock You,” “We Are The Champions” and “Spread Your Wings” (and was certified quadruple platinum in the US and Platinum in the UK.) As with everything we offer, these are guaranteed authentic without time limit.
