Red Hot Chili Peppers – Original Handwritten Lyrics & Set List
A truly unique Red Hot Chili Peppers collectible–Anthony Kiedis’ handwritten partial song lyrics and the beginnings of a set list, written on the back of five pages of faxes (stapled together) sent to former Chili Peppers manager Lindy Goetz.
On the back of the last page, Anthony has written out some of the lyrics to “Mommy Where’s Daddy” from the Chili Peppers debut album, and at the bottom, part of “Power of Equality” from Blood Sugar Sex Magik. The top half of the next page is a set list in Anthony’s hand with “Coffee” and “Walkabout” written in another unknown hand (a band member ?) The bottom half of the page is Anthony’s handwritten partial lyrics to “True Men Don’t Kill Coyotes” also from the Chili Peppers’ debut. We’d guess these were lyric prompts for Anthony, who was going to sing these earlier songs and wanted to brush up on the words.
The pages have been folded to fit in a pocket and have some mild water staining. We acquired these from longtime Chili Peppers associate and former road manager Louie Mathieu, and our written lifetime guarantee will note this. A rare opportunity to obtain a truly unique Chili Peppers collectible.
