Rolling Stones – Keith Richard – Owned & Worn Silk Scarf
A large black and white linen scarf with Skull motif, owned and worn on stage by Keith Richard of the Rolling Stones. Keith gave this scarf and a number of other personal items to his longtime bodyguard, personal assistant and friend Joe Seabrook. After Seabrook died in 2000, his wife Anne sold this and a few other items Keith had given to Joe to well known Stones collector Gary Greenberg (Greenberg blogs about the Stones and collecting at www.garyrocks.wordpress.com). The scarf measures a very large 40′ x 40′, and was worn by Keith as a headband, scarf and wrap at various times. There are numerous photographs of Keith wearing this scarf onstage; we will include a CD with a number of images of Keith wearing it onstage and at photo sessions, and a 2 page spread from RIP magazine featuring Keith on stage, wearing the scarf around his neck. Greenberg writes in his letter of authenticity ‘Stage worn clothing, especially any item related to Keith’s well known love of skulls, is considered extremely desirable and rare.’ As with everything at Recordmecca, this is guaranteed authentic, in writing, with no time limit. Also included are signed letters of provenance/authenticity from Anne Seabrook Bolton and Gary Greenberg.
