Rolling Stones – UK acetate of unreleased version Heart of Stone
An ultra rare 1964 UK acetate of the Rolling Stones demo of "Heart of Stone" recorded at the July 21-23, 1964 "Andrew Oldham Orchestra" and Stones demo sessions in London. This is a completely different version than the one recorded in November '64 in Hollywood, that was released so successfully as a single and album track. This more soulful version (with Jimmy Page and/or John McLaughlin on guitar) remained unreleased for 11 years, and finally made it to the marketplace on 1975's "Metamorphosis" album. However, the version on this acetate is a different take, a different mix, and a different edit from the "Metamorphosis" version. This version remains unreleased, and as the acetate dates from 1964 when the song was recorded, this is truly a unique Stones collectible. In VG(+) condition, it plays very well with some light surface noise. An CDR of the music is included.
