Rolling Stones – UK Press Release For 1st Album

A 1964 UK Decca Records press release/biography announcing the release of the debut album by The Rolling Stones. This incredibly rare two sided sheet announces the first album, anywhere in the world, of The Stones. It reads in part “Without a doubt the most controversial of the current pop groups are the Rolling Stones…this long haired, musically uncompromising rhythm and blues outfit have scaled the pop heights, selling records in the thousands (!) and breaking attendance figures at concerts up and down the country.” It goes on to say they spent three months planning “30 hours” recording the LP–“on just 12 tracks.” Take a moment to read this and you’ll see the true beginnings of one of the most famous bands in the world. This is the only copy of this we know to exist. In near mint condition, with one horizontal fold (for mailing); measuring 8″ x 13.” Historic and museum quality.
