Rolling Stones – Unreleased 1977 “Some Girls” Rehearsal And Demo Tape
An unreleased cassette tape of the Rolling Stones rehearsing on November 15, 1977 (possibly at Pathe Marconi Studios in Paris) and on side two Keith Richards and Ron Wood demos recorded on the same date.
We acquired this from the late Art Collins, who ran Rolling Stones Records. Art had this in his collection for his personal use. Professionally recorded, the Stones rehearse the following songs: Miss You/Just My Imagination/Far Away Eyes/When The Whip Comes Down/Start Me Up/Claudine.” Side two has demos of Claudine (with Mick on vocals) and I Love You Too Much (not the versions that appear on the Some Girls deluxe edition) and acoustic demobs by Ronnie and Keith of Hank Williams’ I Heard That Lonesome Whistle, Merle Haggard’s Shelly’s Winter Love and Love You Too Much. Overall sound quality is excellent. There are a few very short dropouts in one of the demos on side two. With a CD of a digital transfer of the tape. Truly one-of-a-kind. (Sorry but as this is an unreleased tape, we can not sell copies.)
