Rolling Stones – Unreleased 1980 Recording Session Tape

An unreleased cassette tape of the Rolling Stones, recorded during sessions for their album Emotional Rescue. at Electric Lady Studios, New York, November 27 & 30 and December 2, 1980.

We acquired this tape from the late Art Collins, who ran Rolling Stones Records at the time it was recorded.  The tape features two unreleased versions of the song “If I Was A Dancer (Dance Pt. 2)” (the released version of which appears on the album Sucking In The 70’s.)  The first unreleased version (labeled “not edited”) is 5:31 and includes a vocal introduction sung by Mick Jagger.  The second version is 4:34 and has no vocal intro.  These are labeled “Keith’s Mix’s”   With a CD of a digital transfer of the tape.  Truly one-of-a-kind.  (Sorry but as this is an unreleased tape, we can not sell copies.)
