Sex Pistols – 1977 Band Signed Concert Contracts

Four concert contract riders signed by the individual Sex Pistols for their cancelled show at the Alexandria Roller Rink in Alexandria, VA., January 3, 1978. Johnny Rotten (signing his given name John Lydon,) Sid Vicious (signing his given name, John Beverly,) Steve Jones and Paul Cook each sign identical concert riders (contracts) agreeing to the promoter’s terms for the show. The Pistols were booked to play 11 shows as part of their first U.S. tour, but visa problems prevented their timely entry into the country, and the first 4 shows were cancelled, including this one. The abbreviated tour began January 5 in Atlanta and ended January 14 at Winterland in San Francisco, where the band broke up. These autographed contracts, dated December 27, 1977, were among the last agreements signed by the Pistols while still a band, with the group splitting just over two weeks later. Each member has signed boldly in black ballpoint pen on their respective 8 1/2″ x 11″ rider. Also included is an original set of five Warner Bros. Records 8″ x 10″ promo photos, suitable for framing with the agreements. The overwhelming majority of vintage Sex Pistols autographs we see offered for sale are forgeries; here is a very rare opportunity to obtain an absolutely genuine set of 1977 Pistols autographs, including the very rare signature of Sid Vicious. With Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
