Sex Pistols – 1978 US Tour Itinerary, Press Kit Folder, and 12 Warner Bros. Press Photographs

A rare 1978 Warner Bros. Records Sex Pistols US Tour itinerary, with a Warner Bros. Pistols press kit folder and twelve 8″ x 10″ promotional photographs of the band.

The Sex Pistols famously toured the United States only once, in January 1978, breaking up immediately after the tour’s final show, at San Francisco’s Winterland, on January 14.  This eighteen page itinerary was issued to members of their touring party, and a limited number of executives working on the tour, and includes pages detailing the tour dates, musicians and touring party personnel (we have blurred out the Pistols passport numbers on the scan), Warner Bros./booking agency/management and rental contacts, a rooming list, and a page for each date detailing departure and arrival times, hotel and venue information, etc.  The itinerary is in very good condition, with a long flattened vertical crease, and the final page detached.  Interestingly it lists the last venue as a different San Francisco auditorium, California Hall, not Winterland, where the show took place.

We acquired this from a former concert promoter, and it was tucked inside a Warner Bros. Sex Pistols custom press kit folder, along with twelve Pistols press photos.  The folder is in near excellent condition, with a 1″ tear to the top of the front panel, and a 1/2″ tear to the top of the back panel.  The photographs are all in excellent condition.

A very rare Sex Pistols collection.  With Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
