Sex Pistols – “Anarchy in the U.K.” EMI Promo 45, Ex-Collection Jamie Reid, Jon Savage

A NM/EX+ promotional copy of the Sex Pistols debut single, “Anarchy in the U.K./I Wanna Be Me”, formerly owned by Pistols designer Jamie Reid, and Pistols biographer Jon Savage.  As detailed in the accompanying email from Jon Savage, author of the award winning book England’s Dreaming: Sex Pistols and Punk Rock and Up They Rise: The Complete Works of Jamie Reid-

To whom it may concern: This copy of Anarchy in the UK is a second press with the corrected credits – i.e. Dave Goodman credited as producer of the b side I Wanna Be Me – and a standard EMI bag.  It is a Factory Sample and is stickered as such. 

This single has been in my possession since 1979, when I was given it by Jamie Reid, Sex Pistols’ designer.  Jon Savage.

A scarce promo copy of a highly collectible single, formerly owned by two important Pistols associates.  Acquired  directly from Jon Savage, as will be detailed in the accompanying written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
