Sex Pistols – Clash – Buzzcocks – 1976 Screen on the Green Poster
An original small poster for the famed August 1976 “Screen on the Green” punk concert, featuring the Sex Pistols, the Clash (in their first London performance,) and the Buzzcocks, all for 1 British pound. Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren rented a London movie theatre for this “Midnight Special,” which lasted until dawn. The poster here, designed by Helen Wellington-Lloyd and Nils Stevenson, was the first time cut-up lettering was used in Sex Pistols artwork. This poster measures 11 1/4″ x 13 1/2″ (there is variant of this poster printed on white paper, as well as a smaller handbill with the same artwork.) This very rare poster is in excellent condition, with a single vertical crease to the left of the midpoint.
