Sex Pistols, Clash, Siouxie & The Banshees – 100 Club ‘Punk Special’ 1976 Concert Poster

A poster for the legendary ‘Punk Special’ held at London’s 100 Club, on September 20, 1976. The show featured the Sex Pistols, Clash, and the live debuts of Subway Sect and Suzie (soon to become Siouxie) and the Banshees, the latter with Sid Vicious on drums.

This historic show, organized by Malcolm McLaren as a showcase for the Pistols, gathered together almost everyone on the scene and brought a more widespread recognition of the punk movement. On this day the Pistols also signed a 5 year management contract with McLaren’s company, Glitterbest Ltd.  Featuring Ray Stevenson’s ‘phone box’ photo of the Pistols; printed in blue ink on very thin white paper.
