Sex Pistols – God Save The Queen UK Handbill
A UK promotional handbill advertising the Sex Pistols single "God Save The Queen," designed by Jamie Reid and issued by their management company, Glitterbest. "God Save the Queen" was the second single released by the Pistols; issued during Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee in 1977. It reached number one on the NME charts in the UK, but — controversially — only made it to #2 on the official UK Singles Chart as used by the BBC. The song was banned by both the BBC and the Independent Broadcasting Authority. This handbill measures 6" x 8 1/2" and is in near mint condition, with the date November 1978 stamped on the reverse (probably the date a previous owner obtained it.) As with everything we offer, this is guaranteed authentic, without time limit.
