A beautiful original UK promotional poster for the Sex Pistols second single, “God Save The Queen.” Pistols art director Jamie Reid appropriated photographer Cecil Beaton’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth, covering her face with his trademark “ransom note” lettering for this, arguably the best-known image he created for the band.  This is an absolutely original first printing made by Virgin Records in 1977 for use in UK record stores (the poster has been bootlegged a number of times since.)   In Excellent condition, with a light bit of handling, very minor edge wear and a bit of clear tape residue on the back (only.)  As nice an example as we’ve had the good fortune to offer.  27 1/4″ x 38 1/2″.
