Sex Pistols – Sid Vicious – Signed 1977 NME Page
A December 3, 1977 page from the UK music newspaper NEW MUSICAL EXPRESS signed and inscribed by Sid Vicious. The article is about the then forthcoming Sex Pistols book "The Inside Story" by Fred and Judy Vermerol, and prints a "checklist" of the characters in the Pistols story that has supposedly been leaked to NME. Sid has signed on the page "Bollocks Sid Vicious" with three X's below his name, and over the name of Jack Lewis, who was the first journalist to interview Sid he has written "Wanker." Over his own name, Vicious has written "Star" with a drawing of a star on each side of the word. In the top right corner, there is a photo of Johnny Rotten, to which Sid has added a moustache, goatee, glasses and a dotted line across his forehead.(br)This signed page came from the collection of Alan Parker, who has written three books on Sid Vicious (including "No One Is Innocent" and "Too Fast To Live: The Authorized Biography") as well as co-writing "Sattelite: Sex Pistols–Memorabilia/Locations/Photography/Fashion."(br)Most of the Pistols and Sid signed items online are forgeries, but this is the real thing, and comes with our written lifetime guarantee of authenticity. Check our feedback and you'll see we stand behind what we offer. A great Pistols collectible. 15 1/2" x 10 1/2", in excellent condition, with a long flattened horizontal crease across the middle.
