A scarce color advance proof of the teaser movie poster for Jonathan Demme’s 1984 cult classic Stop Making Sense, a concert film of the rock band Talking Heads, which was shot over four nights at Hollywood’s Pantages Theatre in December 1983.

At this point, Talking Heads were touring to promote their 1983 album Speaking in Tongues. This proof is printed on thick card stock, and has the printers color bars along the right edge; it would have been printed for the band, management and film company to approve before mass producing the poster.

In very good plus condition, with some scattered creasing; however this will frame beautifully.  The only example we’ve seen.
