Television, Ramones, Blondie – 1974 Truck & Warehouse Theatre Concert Poster
A very rare concert poster advertising a show by Television and the Ramones at The Truck & Warehouse Theatre, NYC, November 22, 1974.
This show was Television’s first and only performance at the Truck & Warehouse Theatre in the East Village, a venue better known for theatrical performances. While the poster advertises the Ramones as openers, they didn’t perform and were replaced by Blondie, playing one of their first shows under that name.
The photograph, by Bob Gruen, shows Television at CBGB. This performance took place shortly before Richard Hell, on the left in the photo, left the band to form the Heartbreakers with Johnny Thunders and Jerry Nolan of the New York Dolls.
11” x 17”. In very good condition, archivally linen backed, with splash marks and light soiling lower left and on the corners, and two unobtrusive closed tears, top center and the right edge.
The only example we’ve seen.
