A photograph taken August 29,1959 of John Lennon & Paul McCartney of the pre-Beatles Quarrymen appearing at the Casbah Club. Mona Best, Pete's mother, opened this teen club in the cellar of the family home in Liverpool. This is the one of the earliest photo of Lennon & McCartney appearing together, and was printed at the time in the "Liverpool Echo" newspaper. The brunette to Lennon's left is the future Cynthia Lennon. This is an early 60's vintage print, from the estate of "16 Magazine" editor Gloria Stavers, and appeared in "16." It has the Gloria Stavers collection on the reverse. "8" x 10;" the image in mint condition, with a small edge tear lower right and some white tape in the bottom border. Will frame beautifully.
