A rare 1963 mono original pressing of The Beatles debut album, “Please Please Me” with the 4th variant label (without the “Recording First Published” and “Sold in the UK” text.) This version is extremely scarce and desirable and this is a beautiful example. The playing surface of the disc looks virtually mint, but there are faint but mutiple spindle marks, so we’re grading it near mint- (it sounds fantastic.) The “large mono” flipback Ernest J. Day sleeve is in NM-/EX++ condition; with some rubbing to the corners–but overall very clean. The stamper numbers are 1-N/2/MO and 1-N/1/AM. A super example of a rare and essential LP.
