The Beatles – Debut 45 UK “Love Me Do” 1962 Red Parlophone 45, With Original Sleeve
A UK first pressing of The Beatles debut single, “Love Me Do/P.S. I Love You” on Parlophone, with Red Labels. This was the first record in the world to feature The Beatles recording using their own name (and was only preceded by “My Bonnie”, credited to Tony Sheridan and The Beat Brothers.)
This example has “Made In Great Britian” and “Recording First Published 1962” on the labels, and matrix numbers 7XCE 17144-1N ZT1 M and 7XCE 17145-1N ZT1 A. The labels are in Excellent condition, and the playing surface Very Good, with some light scuffing, but the disc plays very well with a bit of surface noise. An extremely important–and fantastic–record.
