The Beatles – N.Mint UK Decca Pressed With The Beatles LP
A very rare Near Mint UK contract pressing, manufactured by Decca, of the Beatles second album, "With The Beatles." In 1963, sales of the first two Beatles albums took off at such a pace that EMI couldn't keep up with demand. The hired out competitor Decca Records to press a limited amount of records for a few weeks in an effort to fill orders and keep the album in the charts. Decca pressings are identified by the "deep groove" label, with a circular indentation running about half an inch from the outside edge of the label. This is a 1963 pressing with the "large mono" Ernest J. Day & Co. sleeve, and the label copy with the "Recording First Published 1963" and without "Sold In The UK…" It is the 2nd label variation with "Money" credited to "Dominion.Belinda (Ldn) Ltd (the Decca pressings all had this label.) The all important labels here are mint, and the record is in beautiful Mint/Near Mint condition (and sounds fantastic.) The flipback cover is near mint and extremely clean as well. The finest copy we've ever seen of a very rare Decca pressed Beatles LP.
