The Beatles – Night of the Hundred Stars Concert Program
A rare program with cover art by John Lennon for the July 1964 "Night of the Hundred Stars," a "midnight review" charitable event held at the London Palladium, during which the Beatles performed. This truly star-studded event benefited The Actor's Charitable Trust, and featured performers such as Sir Laurence Olivier, Judy Garland, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Shirley Bassey and many others (truly 100 stars.) During the evening, The Beatles appeared in a "Flying Ballet" skit where they were hung from the ceiling by harnesses (see rehearsal photo in program) and later performed a musical set. The 68 page program is filled with period ads (a number mentioning The Beatles) and details of the evening's performers. The Lennon cover has his name printed in the lower right corner, and there is a blue tasseled cord wrapped around the spine. 68 pages; in overall excellent condition, with very light wear on the cover.
