The Beatles – Photograph from 1st Session With Ringo

An original 1962 photograph of The Beatles from their first ever promotional photo session with Ringo Starr; taken by Peter Kaye in an abandonded railway site known as "The Bally" in Liverpool. After rejecting a studio session with Ringo, Brian Epstein hastily arranged this session which would yeild the first approved photos of the Beatles with Ringo as their new drummer. This print was made in 1962, and was part of the archive of "16 Magazine." The reverse features the "Peter Kaye/Studio 9 Photographs" stamp, assuring it was made from the original negative. Also titled on reverse, and with a detached typed title slip. This is the actual print published in "16;" similar images from this session appear in the book "Beatles In Liverpool" by Peter Kaye. 8.25" x 6;" in excellent condition.
