The Beatles, Rolling Stones – Limited Edition “Blinds & Shutters” Signed Photography Book (Signed by Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Graham Nash & 11 More)

A beautiful copy of Blinds & Shutters, the deluxe limited edition book of Michael Cooper’s photographs published by Genesis; this copy signed by Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, Graham Nash, John Mayall, Harry Nilsson, Sgt. Peppers cover artist Peter Blake, Beatles publicist Derek Taylor, writer Terry Southern and 5 others.

This 1990 book extensively chronicles the work of the late Michael Cooper, the legendary photographer famed for documenting the 1960’s British rock scene. Best known for shooting the album covers for The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and The Rolling Stones’ Their Satanic Majesties Request, Cooper was very close to both bands. This large (10.5″ x 15.5″ x 2.25″; 368 pages) book chronicles 60’s London as no other has, with 600 photographs of The Beatles, Stones, Bob Dylan, Andy Warhol and other leading lights of the music and arts scene. (There are more photographs of the Beatles and Stones than anyone else, including many from the Sgt. Pepper’s photo session.)

Blinds & Shutters was published in a limited edition of 5000 numbered copies, each signed by at least 10 of the book’s 93 contributors, in various combinations.  This copy, #503, is a particularly desirable one, with 14 signatures including Clapton, Richards, Wyman, Nash, Mayall, Nilsson, Blake, Taylor, Southern, Beatles associate/Apple executive Terry Doran, English Pop Artists Colin Self and Allen Jones, Rolling Stones associate Jo Bergman and Michael Cooper’s son, Adam Cooper.

Hand bound in leather and buckram, with a deluxe hardbound solander box. The “window” in the box opens to reveal an original photographic print of pop artist Jim Dine.  In mint condition; with original shipping box.
