The Beatles – Tony Sheridan – German 1st pressing My Bonnie 45 w/sleeve

An original first German pressing of "My Bonnie/The Saints" by Tony Sheridan and The Beat Brothers, the first-ever appearance of the Beatles on record anywhere in the world ! Evidently "The Beatles" was close to German slang for an unmentionable part of the male anatomy (a clue: "peedles,) and so Polydor (the label) asked for the name change. This is a true first pressing, with the "German intro" to the title song, and the original picture sleeve (without the "Twist" banner.) Both are very rare. The disc here is in EX condition, with a small label tear from a removed sticker on the B-side. The picture sleeve is EX as well, with some very light creasing, and an invisibly repaired right seam (I didn't notice this until just now–it's repaired from the inside and impossible to see from the outside/almost invisible from the inside.) We also have an original US Decca pressing of this record elsewhere on the site.
