The Beatles – UK Polydor 1st Single My Bonnie/The Saints

A beautiful Mint to Near Mint UK Polydor pressing of "My Bonnie/The Saints" by Tony Sheridan and The Beatles. This 1962 single was the very first record released anywhere to feature the Beatles name (it was released in 1961 in Germany, where it was recorded; on that record the band was credited as "Tony Sheridan and the Beat Brothers.") Released in the UK on January 4, 1962 (4 days after The Beatles auditioned unsuccessfully for Decca Records) this version featured for the first time the slow English introduction for "My Bonnie." This is the second of three label variations, distinguished only by a slightly thinner typeface. The disc and labels are in spectacular condition, showing no evidence of any play. Included is the original UK Polydor single sleeve. A beautiful example of a rare and important single.
