The Beatles – Very Clean UK Stereo 1st Press ‘White Album’ LP, With Poster, Photos, Black Inners (Top Loader)
A very clean Apple Records UK stereo first pressing of The Beatles’ self-titled 1968 double album, aka The White Album.
The earliest “top loader” sleeve, No. 0466895, is in Excellent unfaded condition, with some barely noticeable minor lamination creases on the front and back. There is a crease/minor lamination lift to the bottom right corner on the front and the bottom left corner on the back.
Disc 1 is in Near Mint condition (stampers: 1/4/OH and 1/3/LR), and Disc 2 in EX+ condition (stampers 1/5/AD and 1/2/TO). Overall the album sounds great, with just a few very short bits with light surface noise. The labels are the second variation, with “An EMI Recording” and “Sold in the UK…” on all sides (a slightly earlier pressing mistakenly omitted the “EMI”credit.)
Included are the four individual Beatle portraits, in Near Mint to Excellent condition, the proper UK matte surface poster, in NM-/EX+ condition, and the two original matte black innersleeves, both VG+ with some fraying to the tops.
A very clean original pressing of a highly sought after–and essential–album.
