The Clash – 1977 Fully Signed “Sniffin’ Glue” Punk Zine
A copy of Sniffin’ Glue No. 11, dated July 1977, signed by all four members of The Clash. Sniffin’ Glue was a punk zine started by Mark Perry in July 1976, and published for about a year. The name derives from the Ramones song “Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue.” It was called by some the Bible of the Punk Movement.
This issue features the Clash, Johnny Rotten and the Damned on the cover. Above their photograph, Paul Simonon signed “Paul Bass”, Joe Strummer signed his name, Mick Jones signed “Mick Jones GTR” and drummer Topper Headon signed with his real name, “Nicky Headon.” The issue is full of great punk articles and artwork, and is in overall excellent condition with just some light toning and a 2″ square piece clipped from one page (visible in scan). A scarce set of early Clash autographs on an iconic punk artifact.
