The Flying Burrito Brothers – Sealed 1st Press Gilded Palace Of Sin LP

A near mint, factory sealed first pressing of the influential debut album by the Flying Burrito Brothers "The Gilded Palace of Sin" on A&M Records. The Gram Parsons/Chris Hillman led Burritos virtually invented country rock, and in our opinion this album is one of the essential records of the 60's. This copy has a faint bit of sunning along the spine, and the shrink wrap has split along the spine (as a result of heat from the sun,) but the all important seal is fully intact along the mouth. This album was originally owned by Ralph J. Gleason (1917-1975;) one of the most influential music critics of all time. A central figure in the San Francisco rock scene, he helped organize the Monterey Pop Festival and co-founded Rolling Stone magazine. We purchased this and the much of Gleason's record collection directly from his family. An absolute classic.
