The Jimi Hendrix Experience – French 1st Pressing “Electric Ladyland” LP With Alternate Album Cover
A very scarce Near Mint-/Near Mint- French 1st pressing of Jimi Hendrix’s masterpiece, the double album Electric Ladyland. Hendrix’s French label, Barclay, created their own album covers for Hendrix’s albums, and while they are all beautiful, this has long been our favorite. Note that while the inside of the gatefold is similar to the UK release, the photo of Hendrix is unique to this edition as well.
This is the earliest 1968 first pressing, with the first label variation (the publishing rights designation is BIEM on the labels, while the second pressings have SACEM instead.) The discs are NM- and sound great. The laminated cover is very clean as well. A beautiful example of a rare and wonderful Hendrix album
